Background

EnGro Corporation is a Singapore Exchange (SGX)-listed group operating across building materials and specialty businesses, with its Veridis deployment anchored at its Top-Mix Singapore (TMS) plants. As a listed company, EnGro is required to publish an annual sustainability report that discloses accurate and reliable greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions data.

Prior to adopting Veridis, EnGro calculated its GHG emissions manually, collecting data from multiple stakeholders through extensive back-and-forth email. Delayed responses made the process time-consuming and resource-intensive, increased the risk of inconsistencies, and often led to a rushed reporting schedule.

EnGro has streamlined data collection, improved data accuracy, and made its sustainability reporting far more efficient. Given the success of this implementation, the group is now considering rolling out the solution across its overseas plants.

Challenges prior to using Zuno Carbon’s Sustainability OS

  • Manual GHG calculations consuming significant team time: As an SGX-listed company, EnGro calculated its greenhouse gas emissions by hand each reporting cycle. This is a resource-intensive process that pulled the team away from higher-value work.
  • Data collection reliant on repeated back-and-forth emails with stakeholders: Gathering figures meant chasing multiple stakeholders over email, with information scattered across spreadsheets and inboxes.
  • Delayed stakeholder responses causing backlogs and a rushed reporting schedule Late responses created a backlog of work and compressed the reporting timeline, increasing the risk of inconsistencies in the final disclosures.

Why Zuno Carbon was selected to manage EnGro’s data

1. Easy to use, with a simple and fast data upload process

Veridis stood out for its ease of use and a straightforward upload process the team could adopt quickly, with little disruption to existing workflows.

2. Prompt, reliable support whenever issues or roadblocks arise

The Zuno Carbon team provided fast, effective support whenever issues or roadblocks came up, which ultimately solidified EnGro’s decision.

3. Deep product expertise and genuine commitment from the team

Meeting the team showed deep product expertise and a genuine commitment to helping customers succeed

Results since adopting Zuno Carbon’s Sustainability OS

Since implementing Veridis, EnGro has realized several benefits:

  1. GHG data from the Veridis platform used in the FY24 and FY25 sustainability report
  2. Significantly reduced the time and manual effort to compile and calculate GHG emissions
  3. Freed the team to focus on higher-value initiatives and strategic priorities
  4. Seamless data extraction, removing the need to chase multiple stakeholders for data
  5. Veridis integrated across all Top-Mix Singapore (TMS) plants, cutting consolidation time
  6. Strong results now driving plans to roll out Veridis across EnGro’s overseas plants
“If your team is drowning in manual GHG calculations and spending countless hours chasing stakeholders for data, this solution is worth considering. Veridis has automated our data collection, improved accuracy, and freed our team to focus on analysing emissions and driving sustainability initiatives rather than administrative work.”
